Now in the garden

4th of July was HOT this year, but we pulled it off! Tomatoes are juuust starting to ripen, and the cucumbers and pepperoncini are looking so good. The kale is driving me nuts, it’s taking over. Could not possibly eat enough kale

One day. eventually, this wall will be a beautiful mural. Still ideating. But when the weather is nice, there’s gardening to be done.

To make use of all of these guys, I made:
Asian Cucumber Salads - best fresh

Tzatziki sauce to go with the frozen lamb I’ve been trying to figure out how to use since I brought it home from HMart.

Pickled the pepperoncini for sammiches.

And then I’ll try actual pickling!

Fresh bruschetta, a personal summer party favorite. Will eat it for a week after.

My gladiolus are amazing. First year trying bulbs all over the place. I’ve got an elephant ear coming in behind this in the corner. Need to pay attention to peak times for an even better show next year. Also learned these are floppy as hell. Need to learn more, as always.
